Middle School at Parkside Choirs
The Middle School at Parkside Choir program is open to any student who desires to sing and develop musically. Parkside has two performing choirs; the Troubadours and the Park Singers. Parkside choirs have several performances throughout the school year. This year’s concerts include Encore Night, Holliday Pops Concert, Traditional Concert, and the Spring Pops Concert. We also have performances in the community at nursing homes, elementary schools, and Parkside sporting events. The MSP Choirs perform music of many different genres and styles from several different time periods. The ensembles sing a variety of repertoire from all over the world and in several languages.
The Park Singers are a 30+ student choir made up of 7th and 8th grades boys and girls. The Park Singers perform at all the concerts along with several community performances and solo and ensemble. They’re repertoire is typically SAB.
The Troubadours are an all female 7th and 8th grade choir. This is an auditioned group with usually 5 singers on each part. The troubadours typically sing SSA music. Troubadours also perform at all the concerts along with several community performances and solo and ensemble.
