School Health
The Center for Family Health operates three school health centers, in partnership with Jackson Public Schools, making affordable medical and behavioral health services convenient.
Two centers serve patients through the age of 21 – Parkside Health Center and Jackson High Health Center. Northeast Health Center serves patients of all ages and also offers dental services.
It is like having a family doctor’s office in a school. The centers are open to all students, regardless of where they go to school. Students under 18 need parental permission to be treated. The school health centers can serve as your family doctor or be utilized in tandem with your family physician.
School health center staff conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, administer immunizations, offer hearing and vision screening, and provide preventive health services and education. Therapists also are on staff.

Adults or children treated at any of the school health centers can utilize the services at the downtown Jackson facility at 505 N. Jackson St. and the Dental Clinic at 500 N. Jackson St.
All Center locations accept most commercial and government insurance groups, including Medicaid and Medicare; offer a sliding discount program; and never turn anyone away because of inability to pay.
